Hypocrisy: Orwell’s “Doublespeak,” or Raymond Devos’s “Antipodes”¹ found their home in 2024 and truly made it the year of the grotesque which may give renewed youth to Ionescu’s Theater of the Absurd.

Yes, every word has its ‘Anti.’ But 2024 also demonstrated that repeating lies enough does not cause most people to believe they are true.

Ukraine: Mauvaise Foi in Spades

For two-and-a-half years, experts, retired generals and various pundits and politicians had been telling us how much Ukraine was winning, and that Russia “has already lost the war” (CIA Director Burns, President Biden, July 2023) and that Putin would be toppled because Russians totally rejected the invasion; that Putin was losing too many men and couldn’t replace them. Russia’s end was nye?

Now they are telling us the only way Putin can stay in power is by continuing the war. As soon as the war ends, they say, he will be toppled.

Do you remember when they told us how the sanctions would “cripple the Russian economy,” and the Russian people would rise up and get rid of Putin? The Russian economy seems to be humming along at four percent growth this year; the EU powerhouse Germany is … zero percent!

The system of status quo propagandists, also known as the legacy media, must think we have the attention span of a cat and suffer from very short-term memory. As when people increasingly reject this unnecessary and costly war, the ‘truth sayers’ tell us we are the victims of Chinese Tik Toc control and Russian Troll Farms.

Romanians vote for a man who rejects the Ukraine War? He doesn’t want NATO missiles in their country? He wants to put Romania first? “It is Russian interference using fake accounts on Tic Toc!” which, they tell us, forced Romanians to vote for the man. Of course, Brussels and other globalists call Calin Georgescu a “pro-Russian puppet,” “a far right extremist,” and “ultra-nationalist” and interfere in the elections themselves, putting pressure on the Supreme Court in Bucharest to cancel the second round of voting only hours before the polls were to open. How is that for an Antipode?

NATO, the US and the UK especially, with their faithful followers in France and Germany, have lost their NATO expansionist gambit. Unless they are willing to start World War Three, Ukraine will lose much of its east to Russia, and if Lithuania and Poland don’t want to take back in the west what was theirs for a few hundred years, Ukraine will be a neutral and neutered state.

So, wasn’t neutrality a better option after all?

The Emperor’s New Clothes

2024 was also the year when most people in the world, including those who harbored illusions about Israel as being a ‘democratic state,’ finally saw the monster for what it really is; a colonial, racist, Apartheid, state, which has been practicing ethnic cleansing and mass murder since 1948.

Hans Christian Anderson’s tale is so transparent that there is little need for critical scrutiny, yet, naked as they are, Zionists and their backers, when they are not one in the same, march on through a feast of lies as if still fully clothed.

Yes, in the western countries where Zionism calls the shots, many citizens are still clinging to the lies but in the global south and the BRICS powerhouses, people see the truth. “The King is naked.” One can only hope that, out of this horrendous genocide taking place before our very online eyes, the Zionist treachery will end and an inclusive, pluralist, society take its place.

The privileged in the global north have forgot the lessons of colonialism. Those ‘democratic countries’ who won World War Two were in fact murderous dictatorships in the colonies they possessed. These are the two faces of Liberal democratic Regimes and the measures taken against the people in the Covid crisis should have opened their eyes to just how fragile, even ephemeral, really is the ‘glasshouse of liberty’ that they bask in.

France: Doing the same, expecting different results

France had four Prime Ministers and four governments in 2024. The last is a lesson in ‘stupidity’ in that it is the classic example of repeating the same thing and expecting different results: Prime Minister Bayrou has formed a government of all those the French people voted out of office in the past five elections. Macron, after losing election after election, and having the lowest polls of any president in the Fifth Republic, like a spoiled boy who doesn’t get his way and breaks his toys, l’enfant terrible broke France. Dissolving parliament the way he did and when he did was nothing more than an adolescent temper tantrum.

Jupiter, the King, has been stripped naked but he insists he is fully clothed and swears he will stay on until 2027. Either he steps down or France will have no stable government until the next elections which could be held in July 2025, if Macron decides to dissolve parliament again. There is one condition under which the new government could last more than two months; Bayrou is in favor of changing the voting rules to proportional representation which is also backed by the left and the hard right.

The French two-round, first past the post system, created and tailored to General de Gaulle in 1958, has allowed Macron to rule through decree and Article 49-3 of the Constitution which allows him to by-pass Parliamentary discussion and Amendments. The latest polls put Macron at 21% favorable opinion, which reflects election results. France is the only EU country which doesn’t have some form of proportional representation. The time has come.

Germany: “It’s not what it looks like.”

Still in the ‘Antipodes’ department we have Germany’s gymnastics in controlling public opinion. A Saudi Arabian migrant, an Apostate doctor and shrink who “quit Islam and hates Muslims” with a passion we are told, who is “close to the extreme right wing AfD party” they tell us, in order to prove his hate for Islam, on December 20, drove his car into a crowed Christmas Market in Magdeburg, killing five Christians and injuring 200. Go figure.

Alright, maybe he is just a nut, and this has nothing to do with Taqiyya (Islamist dissimulation), unbridled immigration, ‘clash of civilizations‘ and impossible integration. I have met some very crazy psychiatrists over the years. The German authorities are good at practicing their own ‘dissimulation’ when the facts don’t fit their narrative.

While on the topic of dissimulation, 2024 brought us no closer to knowing what Swedish, Danish and German secret services discovered about the Nord Stream Pipeline bombings. Again, something about national security. The tired (CIA, MI6) story about four men and a woman on a sailboat didn’t catch.  Rub-a-dub-dub…

Syria: Another Islamist western-backed butcher in power

Antipodes again when the state Department’s most wanted Islamist butcher with a ten-million-dollar reward on his head, is given a new virginity and a clean slate as a costumed, throat-slitting, artist: Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, leader of Tahrir al-Sham, another name-changed off-shoot of al Qaeda and ISIS, took over Syria.

Why not? They successfully cover up the Jihadi White Helmets farce and falsified the OPCW investigations on chemical weapons use while covering for Jihadi false flag attacks. Didn’t they clear Kosovo’s KLA from the US Terrorist list when Bill Clinton decided in 1998, that he would launch an illegal war against Serbia to tear Kosovo from the country?²³

Of course, getting rid of Assad was what Netanyahu ordered to break ‘the arch of resistance’ but this snake could come back to bite him. The West’s hypocrisy in the ‘War on Terrorism’ was again made abundantly clear in 2024.
