Marianne, the symbol of Liberty and the French Republic

Nearly half the Muslims in France, 15 and older, believe Islamic Sharia Law should be applied in the countries where they live, according to a study published in November by the French polling institute, IFOP.1  This adhesion to rigorous Islam is higher among those aged 15 to 24, that is to say, youth born in France of recent Muslim migration and holding French citizenship. The French model of integration does not work.2

France and Britain are on the cusp of a civil war and preparations must be made now to minimize the damages. This is the dystopian prediction by a leading scholar at King’s College, London, Department of War Studies. The French right and press went to town with the story. After all, it is August.

Preamble: This is hard to write as it takes me to the limits of what is considered legal speech in many European countries, including the country of my residence: France. It is the result of a long discussion with a “Woke” young Euro-American activist woman.

First, it must be made clear that I know few Americans who have acted so boldly against America’s behavior and interference and wars of aggression around the world, or its treatment of minorities at home as I have. But I refuse to be Cancel-Cultured into remaining silent on the unacceptable by the Politically Correct.

A quarter of Europe’s inhabitants — more than half of them under the age of 30 — will be ‘Africans’ in 2050.” This is the startling conclusion Stephen Smith draws in his new book: La Ruée Vers l’Europe (The Rush for Europe). (1.)

The Professor of African Studies at Duke University has shaken France so deeply that President Emanuel Macron and National Front leader, Marine Le Pen, both referred to him in TV interviews in March.

unknown-1A third of the Muslims in France would rather see a hard line Sharia law regime in place of the secular Republic they live in, including half of those aged 15 to 25.

The French weekly, le Journal du Dimanche,  published on Sunday a first of its kind study on Muslims in France which shows that they represent a little over five percent of the population (5.6%) but ten percent of those aged under 25. This means there are some four million Muslims out of a population of 66 million people in the country. What has people anxious is the high number of “extremists” among the youth.

The Hmong are a fiercely independent people who see Vietnamese profiteers moving in on their land as a threat.  But the biggest threat to their way of life is probably tourism.

Ndjamena: Dec. 6 – 12, 2009:  Lake Chad is drying up faster then feared and water reserves are dwindling with famine predicted in the north in 2010 due to a short rainy season and over grazing; the 2009 census shows that the population of Chad has doubled in just 15 years although it was widely criticized when the authorities rigged the figures to favor the Muslims of the north to the detriment of the Christians in the south; 80% of the population is illiterate; the war in the east continues — but hey, lets hold elections!

Moundou, Chad, June 7 – 12: A Chadian was stopped by a corrupt Ivorian policeman who told him « I’m going to give you problems. » The Chadian responded “and I will give you solutions.”

When President Idriss Deby in January told his security forces to impose a draconian ban on the use of charcoal in Chad in a bid to fight desertification, he did nothing to help people find alternative means for cooking. Deby responded to his critics by saying Chadians are people who find solutions to everything. He insisted nobody is starving in the country.

When I came back from Kenya at the end of October, I said that Moi Kibaki would get between 30% and 35% of the vote in presidential elections.  It now seems clear to all that Kibaki stole the elections using the National Electoral Commission whose members he appointed himself to declare him the winner.
