I am often criticised because I refused to vote Democrat against Trump in 2016, 2022 and 2024. No, I would never vote for the narcissistic, sociopath currently in office. I have to admit though, that the downward spiral is going much faster than I had anticipated. But my conscience told me that Democrat warmongers are no better for the world’s people than the Republicans. I also thought, naively, that Trump’s base could slow down his imperial appetite. On the latter, I was wrong. I maintain I am right about the Democrats.1

For me, the question is much like it was in World War Two. What was so democratic about the Allies for the people living in British, French, Belgian and Dutch colonies?2 Would it have changed their sort if the Axis had won? Critical thinking Americans tell us not to lose hope, that “Americans are good people.” There are too many supporters of fascism and wars of aggression in the country for me to say, “Americans are good people.” I am sorry but Americans are not good people. Please prove me wrong.

The New York Times has used anonymous sources to discredit Seymour Hersh for using anonymous sources when he blamed the US for blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines. The question is who has a better track record: Hersh or the Gray Lady of WMD fame? (1) I have come under criticism for my previous article insisting that the press fulfill its role of filtering the spin, or even worse, I am accused of encouraging the censorship of those in power.

Separating fact from fiction and sifting through the fluff to bring out the important, is the very definition of journalism. That journalists have lost their honor and professionalism may be true, but it is none-the-less their job. They are not paid to just hold an open microphone for spin-doctors.

In an interview with the Economist published November 7, French President Emanuel Macron said: “NATO is brain dead.” After nearly three years of attacks by President Trump and a rapprochement of NATO member Turkey with Russia, here yet is another nail in the coffin of an alliance that should have died with the fall of the Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Union in 1991.

The Democrat Party and the Barack Obama administration are using the alleged Russian hacking narrative to attack ‘Whistle Blowers’ and the truth. In an Orwellian turn of logic, they have people believing the US elections were somehow hacked; that people did not vote the way they did because they wanted to when in reality, it is the Democrat Party and Hilary Clinton who were hacked. What they refuse to admit is that a lot of truth was laid out for public scrutiny and that, had this truth been hidden from the public, Clinton would be president.

NATO’s attack on Libyan TV an Outrage

NATO Friday night attacked the Libyan television station in Tripoli killing three people and injuring 15 others in direct violation of their own UN Resolution 1973 which stipulates they may attack military targets “to protect civilians and civilian populated areas under threat of attack in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, including Benghazi” and to impose a ‘no-fly zone’.

Norway killings and our selective outrage

What happened in Oslo Friday is a tragedy but it is no different than what is happening in the world on a daily basis.  What is different is it happened to blond-haired-blue-eyed kids.  What I find outrageous is that all of a sudden we are shocked in our comfortable Western countries. There are some deaths that are worth more than others in our selective outrage.
